THE FOLLOWING ARE SOME OF THE MOST COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT THE OUTDOOR SEASON. IF YOU CANNOT FIND THE ANSWERS THAT YOU ARE SEEKING IN THIS DOCUMENT, PLEASE FEEL FREE TO VISIT US AT THE CLUB HOUSE.
Where is the Clubhouse? What are the hours?
The Clubhouse is located on the lower level of the Magna Centre located at 800 Mulock Drive in Newmarket. The office hours are Monday and Thursday - 9am – 7pm and Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday – 9am-5pm. Saturday office hours arer seasonal and posted on our home page.
How do we register? How do we pay?
You can register either on-line using our website or in-person at the Club office. You can pay by Visa, Mastercard, cheque, cash or money order when registering in-person. On-line registration requires either Visa or MasterCard for payment.
When does the season start and who is my child’s coach?
The 2009 season begins the week of May 25th. Sometime in mid May you will receive a call from your child’s volunteer coach.
When are the games and where are they played?
Fields and schedules are not finalized until all players are registered. Visit our REGISTRATION tab on the website for a downloadable schedule of tentative nights or play for each age group.
What do we bring to the game?
Your child should wear their complete soccer uniform as provided by the Club. Your child will also need shin pads (which are mandatory), and soccer shoes. Your child should always take plenty of water to games and practices, and wear sunscreen.
Can I have my child play with ________________?
The Club is unable to accommodate this request in the U7 & Up age divisions. We can only guarantee that the children of the coach, assistant coach and sponsor will be on the same team. Each team will have only one coach and one assistant coach. The opportunity to meet new friends and play for different coaches adds to the soccer experience.
If something unforeseen happens, can I get a refund of my registration fee?
Request for refunds must be made in person at the Newmarket Soccer Club. There will be a $35 administration fee prior to May 1st for each player withdrawing from the program. Withdrawals after May 1st will be subjected to forfeiture of the entire registration fee. An NSF fee of $35 will be applied to all returned cheques.
What do I do if I want to coach or volunteer for the NSC?
We are always on the lookout for new volunteers to help coach, convene or help the Club in many of its volunteer positions. We appreciate and NEED your help! Please contact the office @ 905-836-8761 or email us at volunteer@newmarketsoccer.com and let us know where you would like to help. You may also fill out a volunteer application found in the FORMS section of the website.
Are NSC Board members or Coaches paid to provide this service?
All NSC Board members and Coaches are volunteers; they are not paid for any of the services they provide. We realize that your specific situation or request is important to you, but please be patient and we will, in time, address your concerns.
