Newmarket Soccer Club Coach Mentorship Program
The technical department of the Newmarket Soccer Club is please to announce a new coaching development program.
The Program is aimed at candidates who have successfully completed their three basic coaching courses offered by the Ontario Soccer Association. The candidate will work with a current N.S.C technical staff who will serve to mentor and guide for the duration of the program.
The course is to help to mentor coaches develop a range of coaching skills away from the team environment. The idea is to get the coach to look and think about the sport in many different ways.
Investigating the many different responsibilities and skills needed to be a good youth coach.
Mentor Coach Tasks
- Completion of O.S.A Advanced workshop
- 6 on field assessments
- Competition of log book
- Stats from Mini games/Futsal/Standard games
- Team scouting reports
- Team assessment report
- Player assessment reports
- Ongoing interaction with the Technical Staff
- Attend and asst in the Clubs Developments session.
The aim of the program is to have the candidate ready to attend and pass a Provincial B licence.
