The NU Girl's U16 A Team just returned from the Virginia Beach Sun Cup showcase tournament on August 16 & 17. The girls played in the U17 Premier division where they won all four games to win the Championship. They played four very physical games where they scored 11 goals and allowed only 1 against vs teams from North Carolina, New York and Virginia. In sweltering heat the girls showcased themselves very well to the US college scouts, with outstanding team defence, top goalkeeping and six different goal scorers. Congratulations on an outstanding performance ladies.

The NSC is very proud of and pleased for players Victoria Correa-Parson (U16A Girl's Team Goalie) and Ashley Campbell (U14 Girls). Both players are currently away on International and Provincial duties. Victoria is part of the U17 Team Canada squad who recently qualified for the U17 World Cup being held in October'08 in New Zealand by securing the bronze medal at the CONCACAF Tournament. Ashley is Captain of Team Ontario, currently playing in the Canadian National Championships. Ashley has scored 3 goals if the first two games. NSC Technical Director, Mark Marshall said "the Club is extremely proud of both players. It should be every player's dream to play for their Province and Country." Mark knows both of the players very well as Victoria was part of the Team Ontario U14 girls team that won gold medal in 2006 that Mark was head coach for. Mark also scouted Ashley in 2006 and invited her into the OSA's Regional program as an underage player. Both players are a credit to themselves their families, teams and the Club.
